The Visit: the Postening.
Here is a chronicle of the visit of Andrew and James, as told by pictures. It was a violent visit. Many Beer were killed, and kung-fu was watched ("dragon Princess"--it rocked). Other casualties included pizza, hotwings, and the attack pot (trimpot, potentiometer, knob) of the Moog's VCA (voltage controlled amplifier). The little moog is in the shop now, but it needed to be callibrated, so that's cool, daddio.

Well, the Sweetness was sort of finished. It turns out that it takes longer than I thought to get people to sing over tracks. So, the sweetness album will now be a one-disc album, with one or two discs of bonus tracks. You still get a butt-load of songs, it's just that some of them on the extras discs were, for one reason or another, never fully realized. But we decided it was funnier that way anyhows. Rock.
I hope so. I'm pretty sure it's just the trimpot for the attack knob, since everything else seemed to work. I asked around and found a guy that specializes in keyboard repair, and he said he could fix the trimpot and clean all the other pots and tune and callibrate it. And I gave him a copy of the technical service manual so he would have all info he needed. I haven't heard from him yet, since he had a small shop and a crap-load of instruments to work on, but I'm sure he can fix it. It should be simple, and even if the pot itself is bad, they're supposed to be made of common components, so getting a new one shouldn't be a problem. I'll let you know when I know, and record a demo with the new, fully tuned moog. Oh yeah.
