It has begun...

Okay, I don't know if any of you have noticed yet, but you will. (If they get that far north and east...) What will you notice that I have already noticed? This: there has been a great increase in dead raccoons beside Austin's roadways. In the last couple of days, and in a limited area (downtown-ish, greenbelt-ish) I have seen no less than four different dead raccoons. This can only mean one thing: the assault has begun. Our initial counterstrike of automobiles seems to have eliminated the advance guard of the raccoons, but this is surely only the beginning. There will be more, and they will refine their tactics. They will be riding on top of our cars, rather than being struck by them; they will penetrate us, our secrets, our movements. They will know, and as they draw close for whatever terrible and final strike awaits, they will tear away their masks and reveal their true selves. My God, my friends. It is practically already over. We've lost before it has really begun. Pray.

Comments:
I don't know about racoons in Texas, but I have caught 3 opossums out from under our house, and today I got a bloated dead squirrel out of the fireplace at Ramsey House .... do you remember the funk we smelt last weekend? Oh yes, that was one stank ass squirrel.

Something is definately going on with the critters.

i saw a beaten raccoon just last week, first raccoon i'd seen in a long time. it definitely made me suspicious. also, yesterday i saw a dead kitty cat near campus. that just made me sad. then, later last night, as it was raining, i realized that i should have checked to see if the cat had a tag, so i could have called its sad owner to tell them to come get it. but i didn't even think of that, and then i wasn't going to drive down there at midnight in the rain to do it, once i had for some reason finally thought of it. i feel like a terrible person. cars are evil, evil.

True story: a bunch of months ago when I was first starting to work on my house, I noticed that a racoon was eating out of my neighbor's cat's food bowl, right next to the cat itself. It was like they were chums.

A week later, my neighbor's cat died of some mysterious cat disease.

True story!

it i fear has reached the are of south and north carolina they have also recrutied bigger animals deer. as me and jen traveled to the sunny shores of s.c. we noticed lots of dead racoons on the side of the road and two deer but the racoons i fear are amassing in force. one night when we were walking we noticed a mass pyramid of dead racoons all placed upon a pyre and the other racoons were doing a spirit dance i think it was to send there dead to a happy after life. the scene was to terrifying so me and jen ran for our dear lives. so i carry this message with hope that someone reads this warning the racoons are amassing in south carolina and they are pissed.

For a moment last night, I thought a wildebeast had broken into my living room.

It turned out to just be a giant cactus.

As always, your requests are honored above all others, and this will surely be done, with as much decorum as we can muster.

I am horribly worried about all the dead raccoons, having raised twins last year on catfood that became gigantic. I don't think they are attacking us though, but I sure wouldn't blame them. I think they are just mating. They are dying here in TN too. So why do the raccoons cross the road?
